Family-owned Fageråsen Fritid AS has been central to the development of the ski adventure Trysilfjellet from the very beginning.
Beginning
In 1965, the brothers Juul and Kjell Søgaard took over their father's farm with outlying land on the north side of Trysilfjellet. There they saw opportunities for cabin tourism. The Søgaard brothers were the first in Trysil to invest in high-standard cabins with a year-round road, running water and electricity.
New generation
A new generation of Søgaard has taken over the family company and contributed greatly to Trysilfjellet strengthening its status as Norway's best and largest ski resort.
In 1988, Fageråsen Fritid AS and Trysilfjell Utmarkslag joined forces to form Trysilfjellet AS, which took over responsibility for the operation of the ski resorts throughout Trysilfjellet.
Fageråsen Fritid AS sold out of Trysilfjellet AS in 1995. Today, the ski resort is owned and operated by Skistar Norway AS.
The company's main business
The company's main business is now the development and sale of land and property. Fageråsen Fritid AS also rents out cabins, apartments and commercial property as well as rents out cabins and apartments for a fixed term.
