Fageråsen Disc Golf

What is disc golf? 

The principles of disc golf are simple, you should throw a frisbee/disc from A to B and try to use as few throws as possible. Special frisbees are used that are quite small, hard and heavy compared to regular frisbees. These can be rented from Fageråsen Handel if you do not have your own equipment.

It is very similar to regular golf, but you use frisbee instead of ball, and baskets instead of holes. After the first cast, you go over and cast from where the frisbee is located, until the frisbee is in the basket. You note the number of throws and move on to the next "hole". We recommend  the app Udisc for recording results. 

About the course in Fageråsen

The course in Fageråsen has 18 holes. Holes 7-12 are located in the area from Fjellroa to Nordre Kanken. The terrain is hilly and has a lot of elevation. Especially at hole 11, it is steep downhill from the point of ejection to the basket. This can be extra challenging for some. Holes 7, 9 and 11 are now par 4s, these were previously par 3s. If you are on a trip with smaller children, we recommend walking holes 1-6 and then on to holes 13-18.

The challenges are to control the frisbee's hover curve against the course's obstacles and difficulties. The course's difficulties consist partly of the length of the hole and obstacles in the form of trees, water, bushes and height differences. When it is windy, the wind will make it even more challenging and exciting. Good luck with the round!
