Holidays in Norway have become the new holiday favorite for many, and in Trysil you have all the conditions to be able to have a successful adventure holiday. Here are 10 tips for fun experiences for the whole family in summer Trysil!

1. Trail biking, of course!
Unfortunately, not everyone has opened their eyes to trail biking yet. But as long as you can cycle, we can promise that everyone masters the bike paths here in Trysil. Something else we can almost guarantee is that the children forget both iPad and video games as soon as you find the flow and joy in the bike paths. The youngest children will love looking for foxtails on the green green trail Green Fox or playing on the pump tracks in the GT Bike Park. Last summer, there was also a brand new adventure arena in the mountains with new and green lift-based bike paths for the little ones: Mountain Tube, Mountain Coaster and Mountain drifting mini-maps.

Older children may find their favourites further into Gullia, an area with over 30 kilometres of built cycle paths. These trails are graded from easy/green to advanced/black.
If you don't want to bring your own bikes to Trysil, that's no problem – there are several shops that have a wide range of bikes for rent.
2. Take the family rafting
SkiStar Guides offers several river activities. Family rafting has become very popular, and here children as young as 6 years old can join a wet and fierce adventure in a rafting boat! It is also possible to raft in even wilder rapids, or if you are a real adrenaline junkie, then maybe canyoning could be something for you?

3. Family-friendly summit hikes
We have picked out fourteen family-friendly and exciting summit trips in Trysil and the surrounding area for you. Don't forget to "check in" on the tops in the UT app! Also remember that chocolate (or another sweet treat) is mandatory for children on all of Trysil's summit trips.
Skagsvola, Trysil's answer to Besseggen, is a very popular summit hike. There is also Trysilfjellet 1132, where the Fire Guard Cabin towers at the top.
4. The climbing park Høyt & Lavt offers a lot of fun
The climbing park has become a real holiday favorite! In Trysil you will find Høyt & Lavt Trysil above the cycle paths in Gullia. The climbing park has seven climbing trails that are suitable for those who are from 80 to over 140 cm tall.
5. Golf, mini golf and frisbee golf
Trysil has one of Norway's finest forest golf courses, at Trysil Golf course. Here you will find great practice facilities with your own approach and chip hole, putting green, practice bunker and driving range with a total of 33 mats, of which 10 are under roof.
At Bistro 19, the restaurant located in the multi-purpose building by the golf course, golfers, cyclists, climbers – in fact, everyone – can enjoy a delicious lunch or just relax with an ice cream and coffee. A round in the terrain mini golf course is fun for both young and old, before possibly embarking on more activities.
In Trysil you will also find several great frisbee golf courses. Fageråsen Frisbee golf course is of course located in Fageråsen, between Høyfjellssenteret and the eatery Fjellroa. The course has 18 varied holes. Games on the course are free if you have your own equipment, if not, you can rent this at Fageråsen Handel from the beginning of July.
6. Go for a swim
Innlandet may not be known for its bathing spots, but in Trysil you will find several great bathing spots. Here you can swim in the Trysil river, in mountain lakes or in lakes. There is even a beach, playground, piers and barbecue facilities in several places. The beach in Nord-Osen is perhaps the most popular swimming spot, with its almost one kilometer long sandy beach!

7. Paddling down the Trysil River
Rent a canoe at Trysil Hyttegrend and follow the calm current down the Trysil river. Here there are good opportunities to see exciting animal species and even try your luck at fishing. The destination for the trip can be Tjønna, a little gem only an hour's paddle ride from the canoe rental at Trysil Hyttegrend. At Tjønna there are both barbecue facilities and a beach - in other words, an absolutely perfect destination.
8. Join the Pole Hunt!
Pole hunting is a popular activity that has popped up in several places in the country. Now it is possible to go looking for poles and collect points here in Trysil as well! Download the app Stolpejakten, find a map in Trysil and then everything is ready for a real hunt. By scanning the QR codes on the bars in the app, you collect points. Can you find them all?
9. Fishing for young and old
In Trysil you will find a varied fishing offer for the whole family. The Trysil river and Ljøra are two rivers that are known for their good grayling fishing. In the village you will find several exciting small rivers and lakes with fresh and good trout. Several lakes also invite attractive fishing for pike and perch. 10. For animal lovers
If you and your family love animals, you've come to the right place! Horseback riding with Trysil Horse Center is popular and suitable for everyone, whether you have ridden a lot or have no previous experience. If it's not too hot outside, you can drive your own dog carts, or you can visit the dogs at Mountain King Sled Dog Kennel. At Mountain Huskies you can participate in guided tours with either huskies or llamas - two animals with lots of personality! It is also a nice experience to visit the goats in Bittermarka.
Farm visits are also a sure winner for small and large animal lovers. Bjerkli and Vangen farm in Slettås arrange family days regularly, and also offer camps with accommodation and a number of courses for children. At Kilde farm, just outside the center of Trysil, you can feed the animals, participate in activities, and enjoy the beautiful nature. Or maybe take an alpaca with you on a hike?
